What’s up Y’all, today we’re gonna talk about one of my all-time favorite dishes- meatloaf. Now, I know some of y’all might be thinking, “What’s so great about meatloaf?” but let me tell you, when it’s done right, it’s the perfect combination of savory and comforting. And who doesn’t need a little comfort every now and then?
First up, we’ve got this Classic Quaker Oats Meatloaf
Now, this recipe is straight out of the Quaker Oats cookbook, and let me tell you, those folks know how to do meatloaf right. The secret ingredient in this bad boy is, you guessed it, Quaker Oats. Not only do they add a nice texture to the meatloaf, but they also help to absorb some of the excess moisture, making for a perfectly moist and delicious meatloaf.
You’re gonna want to start by preheating the oven to 350 degrees. While it’s heating up, combine your ground beef, Quaker Oats, chopped onion, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix it all up until everything is well combined.
Next, you’re gonna want to shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in an ungreased loaf pan. Bake it in the preheated oven for about an hour, or until the center is no longer pink and the juices run clear.
Next up, we’ve got a Meatloaf Recipe with Oatmeal
This recipe is a little different than the classic version, as it uses oatmeal in place of breadcrumbs. The oats add a nice chewy texture to the meatloaf, and they also help to keep it moist.
Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix together your ground beef, oatmeal, chopped onion, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, milk, egg, and salt and pepper. Mix it all up until it’s well combined.
Next, shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan. Bake it in the preheated oven for about an hour, or until the center is no longer pink and the juices run clear.
So there you have it, two delicious meatloaf recipes that are sure to please. Whether you prefer the classic version or the oatmeal version, both are easy to make and so yummy. Serve it up with some mashed potatoes and veggies for a complete meal that’ll warm you up from the inside out.
Until next time, y’all.
